Noctlight respects intellectual property rights and expects users, contributors, suppliers, and partners to do the same. We respond to sufficiently detailed copyright complaints and may remove or disable access to disputed material while a claim is reviewed.

1. Scope

This policy applies to content displayed on or made available through Noctlight-controlled online services. It addresses copyright only. Trademark, privacy, counterfeit-product, defamation, patent, or other complaints should be clearly identified and sent through our Business Inquiries or Contact Us page.

2. Copyright infringement notification

A written notification should include substantially all of the following:

1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act for the owner.
2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or a representative list if multiple works at one site are covered.
3. Identification of the material claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient for us to locate it, preferably the exact URL and a description or screenshot.
4. Your name, postal address, telephone number, and email address.
5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the complained-of use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
6. A statement that the information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act for the owner of the exclusive right allegedly infringed.

3. Where to send a notice

Email subject line recommendation: DMCA Copyright Notice — [work or URL]. Attachments and links should be safe, accessible, and directly relevant to the claim.

4. Review and removal process

We may request missing information. Submitting a notice does not guarantee removal, establish infringement, or waive any rights or defenses.

5. Counter-notification

If material you provided was removed or disabled because of mistake or misidentification, you may submit a written counter-notification containing substantially:

1. Your physical or electronic signature.
2. Identification of the removed or disabled material and the location where it appeared before removal.
3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled because of mistake or misidentification.
4. Your name, address, and telephone number.
5. A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the district where your address is located—or, if outside the United States, a judicial district where Noctlight may be found—and accepting service of process from the original complaining party or its agent.

6. Restoration after a counter-notification

After forwarding a compliant counter-notification to the original claimant, we may restore the material in not less than 10 and not more than 14 business days unless we receive notice that the claimant has filed a court action seeking to restrain the alleged infringement.

7. Repeat infringement and abuse

Where appropriate and in suitable circumstances, Noctlight may restrict or terminate access for repeat infringers. We may also act against abusive, fraudulent, incomplete, automated, or materially misleading submissions. This policy does not require Noctlight to host or restore content that violates other policies or laws.

8. Information sharing and privacy

We may share a notice or counter-notification, including contact information, with the affected party, service providers, legal advisers, or authorities as reasonably required to process the claim or comply with law. Do not include unnecessary sensitive information.
