Return & Refund Policy

A transparent 30-day return process designed to protect customers while accounting for the installation and shipping requirements of lighting products.

Return window: Request an eligible return within 30 calendar days after delivery. Do not send an item before receiving return authorization.

1. Eligibility

To qualify, the item must be unused, uninstalled, unmodified, complete, and in resalable condition with original packaging, manuals, hardware, and protective materials. Proof of purchase is required.

2. Non-returnable items

  • Custom-made, personalized, modified, or made-to-order products after production approval;
  • Installed, hardwired, assembled, altered, or visibly used lighting;
  • Final-sale items, gift cards, replacement parts ordered separately, and items marked non-returnable;
  • Items damaged by improper installation, misuse, voltage incompatibility, or inadequate repackaging.

These exclusions do not limit rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

3. How to request a return

  1. Email us within 30 days of delivery with the order number and reason.
  2. Provide clear photos of the product, packaging, labels, and any issue.
  3. Wait for written authorization and the approved return address.
  4. Use a trackable, appropriately insured carrier and packaging suitable for fragile lighting.

4. Return shipping costs

For verified defects, incorrect items, or transit damage attributable to us or our carrier, Noctlight will provide an appropriate remedy and cover reasonable approved return costs when a return is required. For preference changes, sizing mistakes, color expectations, duplicate orders, or other non-defect reasons, the customer is responsible for return shipping and related charges.

5. Refunds

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method after inspection. Original expedited fees, duties, and nonrecoverable carrier charges are not refundable unless required by law or the return resulted from our error. Banks may require additional time to post funds.

6. Cancellations and order changes

Contact us promptly. An order may be changed or cancelled before processing begins. Custom production and dispatched orders cannot always be stopped. If a shipment is delayed beyond the promised ship date, customers may accept the revised timing or cancel the unshipped order for a prompt refund as required by applicable law.

Damaged-on-arrival procedure

Document

Photograph the unopened carton, shipping label, internal packaging, product, and damaged area.

Report

Email the order number and evidence within seven days, or sooner when carrier rules require.

Preserve

Keep the product and every packaging component until the claim is resolved.

Refund deductions

Where permitted, loss in value caused by handling beyond reasonable inspection, missing components, unauthorized use, or inadequate packaging may reduce a refund. We will explain any deduction. No arbitrary restocking fee is charged for an otherwise eligible return unless a product-specific term disclosed before purchase states otherwise.
